Blue is the New Pink!

By Elizabeth Hanks — April 6, 2023

If you are a fan of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, chances are you were either team “make it blue!” or team “make it pink!”. Over the last couple of years in the wedding world, we have seen all shades of pink dominating florals, bridesmaid’s dresses and accent pieces.. but we are here today to tell you: pink is out and blue is in!

One of our favorite things about being a wedding venue is how each and every couple decorate and execute their wedding day so differently. Although our venue stays the same, it truly is unique to everyone who comes through our doors. These are some of our favorite blue weddings we have had in the last few months! Take note and get inspired!

Blue florals are such a simple way of incorporating the hottest wedding color! Sticking with neutrals for your wedding party attire, adding the hint of blue florals will give you and your best of friends that pop of color needed. Helpful hint: using hydrangeas is a great floral choice! Because they are full, less is more and can help save some money when designing your bouquets and centerpieces!

Another fun way to add some unexpected blue on your day is your wedding shoes! We love a fun pop of color in unexpected places and that is exactly what Mollie, one of our 2023 brides, did. This can also be a fun nod to the traditional “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”.

While we still love a beautiful blush pink wedding, we are welcoming the gorgeous blues for 2023! And remember: whatever color you choose, whether it’s pink, green, beige or blue, make sure it’s one that you and your significant other love. Don’t choose colors based on a trend or on hundreds of other weddings you’ve seen on Instagram. This is YOUR big day and you want to look back on it and always smile.
