From the moment we booked until the very end of our wedding day, every single detail was handled with such care and professionalism. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and the accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and made the entire weekend so enjoyable for us and our guests. The staff is what truly sets Experience Oakhaven apart. Everyone was incredibly kind, organized, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. A special thank you to Jeanette and Elizabeth—they went above and beyond in every way imaginable. They were always there with a smile, ready to answer questions, solve problems before we even knew they existed, and make sure everything ran seamlessly. When Michaela and I began this journey to find a venue, we had a local connection and a friend who is a wedding coordinator at another venue and we thought we were sold. But, we saw the barn with Oakhaven and said why would we not just give it a look? Well, we set foot on the property and each of us looked at each other saying we felt at home, at peace, and this is our hidden gem to get married at. The Wedding Day Lady crew and the Oakhaven staff are simply the best you will possibly find in North Carolina. Every step of the way, they made Michaela and I feel like family. At first we thought about not using a wedding planner since I used to be an event planner, but then we kept hearing great things about WDL during our site visit and we were sold. Gosh, did we ever make the right call. Every question we ever had, answered immediately and when they couldn’t be they would get those answers as soon as they could. When we were indecisive about vendors, they shared their honest and transparent feedback about each of them that tailored our personalities and what we were looking for. And guess what happened? The most perfect wedding day possible without a single hitch in it (at least that we could see or heard of, I’m sure Jeanette and the crew handled a few things to make it all work the day of). We can't thank them enough with how much effort to put forth to ensure everything would come together. The amenities are amazing and it felt great being able to come onto the property on Thursday ahead of the Saturday wedding to prepare and relax with your parties/families. I personally loved having the cabin for myself and a few guys to just relax and hang out at. Then the girls having a manor was like an old school sleepover with your best friends. Having the fire pit was a great part of each night to bring our close groups of friends together to relax and reminisce on all of our favorite people. The barn itself is absolutely magical and beautiful with all the decor and was the big reason on why we chose Oakhaven. The ceremony site by the oak tree was GORGEOUS and pictures just don't do it justice. You will be wowed on your wedding day with the beauty of the nature around you. Michaela and I were sold from the day of our visit, and we could never choose otherwise because we were so amazed on our wedding day by the venue and everything around us. If there is one thing I can recommend to anyone who is thinking of Oakhaven as their venue: DO THE ALL-INCLUSIVE! You may get scared about the money part or not having full control of all the vendors, but let's be honest, all the vendors on the preferred list are just a step above anyone else you will find. Every vendor Jeanette suggested was the PERFECT find for exactly what we were looking for, because she took the time to listen to what we wanted. The all-inclusive option is a no brainer and saves you so much stress and hassle. Plus, it gets you the best wedding planning staff 🙏 Jeanette, Elizabeth, Natalie, Rachel, and the others did an amazing job with our special day from the start to finish. They made us feel so loved and special, and all their comments made us feel so good. Michaela and I reminisce about May 9th almost every day. At the top of our minds will always be how the Wedding Day Lady, Oakhaven crew, and our vendors helped make it so memorable. Kara guided us through every step of the process, making the decision incredibly easy. She was flexible with scheduling, knowledgeable about every detail of the property, and helped us maximize every aspect of our all-inclusive package. Her passion for the venue truly shined and made us feel confident that there was nowhere else we would rather celebrate such a special occasion. One of our top priorities was finding a venue that could comfortably accommodate our out-of-town guests and family, and Oakhaven exceeded every expectation with its exceptional on-site lodging options. Another major highlight was the variety of ceremony locations. Each site offered breathtaking views, and the availability of both indoor and outdoor options gave us complete peace of mind when it came to weather planning. We chose the signature Oak Tree ceremony site, and it created the most stunning backdrop for our photos. And the décor room deserves a special mention! It was beautifully organized and stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. The selection was incredible and made the decorating process seamless and stress-free. Planning our wedding with Jeanette and Elizabeth from The Wedding Day Lady was an absolute dream. These two went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process. They were always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure every detail was thoughtfully handled. During our wedding weekend, we barely had to lift a finger, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment and be fully present with our family and friends. Every staff member that we encountered were so nice and they will try their best to make your day everything that you want - they are team Bride and it is so helpful! We got the all-inclusive package and it was amazing. When people would ask I would say that I felt like I got to do all of the fun parts of wedding planning and all of the contracts, payments, and everything were organized and taken care of for me which made a huge difference in the experience. Jeanette is on top of organizing your day and is always there when you need anything - the Experience Oakhaven team and their preferred vendors work together like clockwork and it makes the experience so nice for the couple. We stayed on site all weekend and brought our dog and I would HIGHLY recommend. The weekend was everything that we could have asked for and more and that is a thanks to the Oakhaven team.
