Ways to build a rainy-day Plan B at Oakhaven
During your tour at our estate wedding venue, you’ll learn how we handle a rainy day in our rustically beautiful venue. Once you begin planning your special day, our wedding manager will collaborate with you on a plan and priorities if it does rain.
On wedding day, your venue manager will call for a Plan B if it looks like there will be rain during the entire ceremony. And if we can adjust the ceremony time to honor the couple’s original plan, we’ll work with their vendors to do so.
Oakhaven’s Grand Dutch Barn makes the ideal location for a weather Plan B. Even on a rainy day, the views of the rolling farmland provide a lovely background. For an indoor ceremony, the dance floor area is set with chairs for family to be near the couple while guests are ushered to their tables. Ceremonies are held in front of Oakhaven’s soaring stone fireplace. Cocktail hour is also held inside while the staff removes the ceremony seating.
And during cocktail hour, trust your wedding photographer. Grab a clear umbrella and capture those romantic, rainy photos.
